What you need to know about EV Charging
80% of your electric car (EVs) and plug-in hybrid charging will be at home. This is why it’s important to understand the solutions available and which one fits your needs.
There are two types of home charging: level 1 charging and level 2 charging.
-
Level 1 charging is when you charge an electric vehicle (EV) using the charger included with the car. plugged with one end into any standard 120V outlet, and the other end being plugged directly into the car. It charges 200 kilometers (124 miles) in 20 hours.
-
Level 2 chargers are sold separately. These chargers are slightly more complicated to setup, they are plugged into a 240V outlet charging 3 to 7 times faster depending on the electric car and the charger. They usually have to be installed by an electrician.
Solaré offers level 1 and level 2 chargers
and installations by our
