Rik KaminskyPresident
Background Renewable energies, oil and gas sector, real estate
Expertise Project and business management, community engagement, partnerships, corporate strategy, procurement
Bio Founder of Solaré Canada, Rik Kaminsky leads the corporation as President. His gift of cultivating powerful professional networks underlies the company’s success in meeting customer’s needs. He’s fostered and leveraged a lifetime of meaningful relationships to bring necessary expertise to the table and provide broader access to information, robust problem-solving capacity and a group of trusted people aligned in a shared vision.
Four years in the Canadian Navy as a sonar operator shaped a strong foundation for Rik’s personal discipline and values. The drive he gleaned from that experience would carry forward into an innovative career in various fields and start-ups. After years as an oil field operator gaining international experience in India and the US, Rik co-founded Drill-Tek, a technology firm manufacturing down-hole electronics for the directional drilling industry, a company that still thrives today.
In 2013, Rik co-founded Solaré Canada and transitioned to the renewable energy sector. He saw an opportunity to help change the way we use energy, knowing there was a better and more affordable way to power our world. Working to implement the Alberta Government’s Indigenous Climate Leadership Initiative immersed him in his indigenous culture and nurtured the traditional knowledge that supports a sustainable future.
Over the years, Rik’s positions as Chair and Director of the Spruce Grove and District Chamber of Commerce has allowed him to engage in and influence business at the municipal level and support policy creation for the Alberta Chamber of Commerce and Canadian Chamber of Commerce. This involvement has reinforced his belief in the strength of community and collaboration.

Lorenzo Donini, B.Sc CEO
Background Waste management and innovation, municipal developments
Expertise The design, implementation and monitoring of largescale waste management programs, government affairs, municipal relationships, contract management
Bio As a serial entrepreneur that thrives on innovation and embraces change, Lorenzo Donini, Chief Executive Officer at Solaré Canada, has succeeded in both the waste management and renewable energy fields. Inspired by a passion for more sustainable waste management processes, he drew on his Bachelor of Science degree to start Ever Green Ecological Services, a business he
developed and led for over a decade before it was acquired by a large conglomerate. The experience cultivated his extensive knowledge in facility and program design, engineering and operations, with a focus on material recovery and processing for multi-stream municipal residential waste collection. Later in his career with GFL Environmental, he expanded on that knowledge to support large project and client acquisition, government affairs and municipal relationships, and drove strategic planning to deliver on priorities. His accomplishments in the waste arena supported his role as Vice Chair of the Recycling Council of Alberta, where he aligned well with the organization’s mission to promote, facilitate and advocate for a circular economy in Alberta.
Driven to expand into other environmental sectors, Lorenzo moved into the renewable energy field, where he was involved in all aspects of growing Ever Star Renewables, a solar provider that specializes in the design, supply and installation of solar power systems for residential, commercial and municipal clients. He now brings his expertise in procurement, planning, construction and financial models for solar systems to assist Solaré Canada clientele.
Lorenzo’s commitment to excellence extends deeper still into his personal life. At a young age he pursued an advanced diploma program to obtain an International Baccalaureate, and in 2019, his uncompromising discipline won him 6th place in the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship. His background exemplifies a rare level of dedication to personal and professional growth, with a motivation to deliver a positive impact in everything he does.
